Lingo Count is an easy-to-use metric designed to help identify the glucose spikes that matter in your data and translate each spike into a single number that represents its impact on your metabolic health.
Throughout the day, our proprietary algorithm recognizes relevant glucose spikes and assigns them a Lingo Count that captures the strain those spikes put on your body, based on each spike’s size and duration.
By quantifying your spikes as a single number, it creates a scoring system that helps you understand which habits can improve your metabolic health by reducing the strain on your body (your overall glycemic load or “exposure”).
Every day, you’ll be given a total number of points, your Lingo Count “target,” which you aim to stay below by following advice, curated by Lingo experts, and learning about how your body responds to food, exercise, and other factors. Certain actions (such as exercise and changes to diet) can be taken to help reduce the size and duration of your spikes, lowering your overall Lingo Count. Over time, your target will get harder to hit each week, helping you reduce your glucose exposure and improve your metabolic health.
